There is a lot of confusion about what radical feminism is all about, and one popular myth is that all radical feminists hate men. This is simply not true.
Radical feminism is only the idea that the oppression of women is rooted in the primacy of the patriarchal system. The patriarchy doesn’t…
Feminists have done noting for men, let alone radical feminists. What you defined is a average feminist a radical feminist is an extremest.
I disagree with feminism and hate radical feminism.
I need feminism because I shouldn’t be put in isolation at school for having short hair.
I should not be isolated for a haircut.
My school then had the nerve to tell me they weren’t being sexist and that my hair was ‘extreme’
I don’t see why you’d be put in isolation for having short hair, Mine was about your length and I never got any criticism or negative attention and even if I did I wouldn’t rely on feminism to help me. How does feminism help the situation?
These are my responses i got on Facebook after commenting on a sexist joke. I wrote “this is terrible. You are adding sexist jokes to an already misogynistic society” and you can read the replies I got.
It’s sad that people can accept the idea that it’s wrong to make racist jokes, or homophobic jokes, but insist that misogynist jokes are just fine… or that racist or sexist slurs are horrible, but misogynist ones are just fine.
We don’t live in a Misogynistic society. And jokes are jokes, they’re not to be taken to heart. I’m not a huge fan of sick jokes but I’m not going to shame people who are. You can’t force people to be politically correct.
I need feminism: b/c a woman expressing her opinion to a an should evoke a snark comment about her sex life. i.e. “You need the D.”
No matter who you tell your opinion to, there will be snark comments. Gender has nothing to do with it.
